Tell John Cornyn: Delaying elections is not a “joke” | Take Action Newsletter

Save the Post Office

The USPS provides jobs to hundreds of thousands of Americans, including a disproportionate number of veterans and minority groups. New reporting confirms what we feared: Trump is gutting the U.S. Postal Service to slow delivery of mail-in ballots. In addition, slowed delivery of lifesaving prescription drugs could have catastrophic effect.

Write your reps and demand they save the USPS

Demand that Cornyn & Cruz support the HEROES Act—which includes $25 billion in funding for the USPS

Tell John Cornyn: Delaying elections is not a “joke”

On July 30, Trump tweeted, “Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???

Some in the GOP, including John Cornyn, claimed this was a joke. Trump is not joking. He may not have the authority to change the date of an election, but his words seek to undermine trust in the entire process.

Tell your GOP reps: Trump’s efforts to undermine elections are no laughing matter

Coronavirus

Cornyn’s Ebola Hypocrisy

In 2014, when Ebola threatened to spread throughout the world, John Cornyn demanded swift and comprehensive action—including a call to screen all airline passengers flying into Texas airports. Ultimately, two American nurses contracted Ebola and both recovered. No U.S. citizens died.

Today, the coronavirus has killed more than 150,000 Americans. Cornyn’s calls for swift federal actions are nowhere to be seen; instead he downplays and distracts by pointing fingers at China.

Tell John Cornyn: China didn’t make the US the epicenter of the coronavirus. Trump did.
