What to expect:

Here’s video of a big phone bank we did with Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg, co-executive directors of Indivisible. Our Tuesday-night phone banks are much smaller, lower-key affairs, but just as fun!

And here’s an example of the script we’re using. It’s easy and fun!

Hi, can I speak with [VOTER NAME]?

I’m [YOUR NAME], and I’m a volunteer with Indivisible Austin. We’re a local group of progressives working to make sure our elected officials listen to and support people in the community. We’re talking to voters about the elections coming up this November.

What issue is most important to you this election cycle?

We’ve got an election coming up for Senate this November, do you know who you’ll be voting for?

Are you currently volunteering with an Indivisible group and if so, which group?

Thanks so much for your time and have a great day!

[You can choose to exclude the parts about Trump, or talk about other issues instead.]

As I mentioned earlier, I’m here with [GROUP NAME HERE]. We’re a local community group resisting the Trump agenda and working to elect candidates who will listen to and support people in this community. What’s the way you would most be interested in getting involved – canvassing, making phone calls, advocacy to support people who are impacted by the Trump agenda, or coming to a group meeting?
