Board and Committee Application

We need your help!

  1. We’re expanding our Board of Directors
  2. We’re forming committees to support Indivisible actions across Central Texas

Our Mission Statement

Indivisible Austin supports citizen activists in Central Texas by providing leadership, resources, tools, and training to oppose authoritarianism and defend democracy.

Desired community connections:

We’re looking for people who are seasoned activists, new to the movement, and everywhere in between. Ideal candidates will have a variety of professional expertise, cultural backgrounds, spectrum of life experiences, and geographic reach, who can help Indivisible Austin respond to current and future needs.

What personal, financial contribution is expected of each board member?

Each board member is expected to give a personally meaningful gift. Members may also choose to fundraise their contribution.

What is the current board meeting schedule?

Monthly meetings with the chance to call-in or video conference, if needed. There are also weekly check-in conference calls.

How would you describe your board culture?

We are an active board with a strong commitment to the mission and the larger Indivisible movement. We have no paid staff, so board members do the day-to-day work running the organization. We work very closely and collaboratively, and given the sometimes urgent nature of the legislative process we often need to make time-sensitive decisions with a quick turnaround.
